Education, legislation and eradication

No grievance - whether political, economic, religious, social, or nationalistic, whether compelling or not - can justify the intentional killing of civilians as a principal goal. The EndWorldTerror.com traveling exhibition and campaign is dedicated to repudiating and rejecting terrorism, its perpetrators and its supporters, regardless of the cause, wherever it occurs.

Multi-media Exibition

END WORLD TERROR BUS
Los Angeles officials: Mayor Hahn, City Attorney Delgadillo, City Council members Weiss and Garcetti,Police Chief Bratton, Fire Chief Bamattre.

Two core components serve as the signature of this traveling multi-media exhibition which highlights - up close and personal - the reprehensibility of terror as a tactic. The first is a customized, state-of-the-art, multi-media truck that graphically depicts domestic and international terrorism in more than 20 countries, from 1994 - 2004. The second is a suicide-bombed bus destroyed by a suicide bomber in Haifa.

The bus was on an after school route, and most of its victims were children coming home from school. In all, 17 were killed and dozens were injured: Jews, Christians and Muslims.

EndWorldTerror.com, an independent, nonprofit, nonpartisan project, bought the bus in May 2003 and shipped it through the Panama Canal to Los Angeles, where it arrived two months later. Forensic engineers and technicians have kept the bus intact, taking special care not to alter it in any way from the way it looked hours after the attack. Several personal affects remain on the bus including a purse, cellphone, and shirt.

In this exhibition, the bus travels on a customized low-deck truck, uncovered for all to see. Trailing close behind is the customized multi-media truck reflecting and expanding on the firsthand evidence of terror. Large video screens attached to that truck graphically depict the real and raw devastation of terror around the world, including scores of scenes from Algeria, Russia, Colombia, Philippines, Egypt, Northern Ireland, Pakistan, Spain, India, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Morocco, Indonesia, Kenya, the United States and Turkey.

More than a year in the planning stages, EndWorldTerror.com is a visceral condemnation of terrorists and terrorist acts that target everyday people, whether they are riding a bus, enjoying a restaurant meal or shopping for groceries.

EndWorldTerror.com calls on others - individuals, institutions, international forums, religious bodies and governments to reject such acts categorically and discredit unequivocally those who promote or support terror as a tactic.

By touring first the United States, then Canada, then Europe, the aim of EndWorldTerror.com is to make anyone from everyday people to world leaders stop, gasp, think and then act. Viewers on city streets and at public venues from city halls and state houses to universities and shopping malls will confront the pain and the ruin that terrorists cause time and again around the world when they attack civilians in the name of whatever cause they are espousing.

EndWorldTerror.com Initiative:
No matter the cause or place, or the identity of the victim or perpetrator, the message must be clear: zero tolerance for terror. Help every community make that message official -- repeatedly and clear, so it becomes part of the community culture. Much as anti-discrimination language is included in city, state, or federal grant agreements or government contracts, similar anti-terror language should be incorporated in all such official government documents. See the endworldterror.com initiative. Communicate with your local, regional, and national elected representatives to implement such language in all grants and contracts. It's a message all must hear.
